My name is Benjamin. I come from the UK (although I was born in New Zealand) and I have been described as having a ginger personality. Whatever that means. I assume they're referring to my hair and my Ronald Weasley nature. Aside from that, I'm the only male blogger worth knowing.

You can thank Amber for that lovely introduction, but you deserve much more than just a small paragraph showing my nutty nature, therefore if you do wish to find out more, please visit the

Bird Flu

You may say to me that this idea for a post is quite boring and political (another word for boring!), but I was travelling on the bus this morning and was thinking how the issue of Bird Flu has seemed to vanish from the minds of people in England.

A couple of months ago, you would sit down to your dinner in the evening and begin to watch the 6 ‘o’clock news. Swarming the news would be reports of outbreaks in France, China, and the general ‘hype’, if you may call it that, of this terrible disease which was swarming our planet. But now, we seem to have forgotten all about we. Don’t get me wrong, we do see the occasional report on the outbreak of bird flu in a chicken farm, but nothing concerning human cases.

What I want to know is, if Bird Flu did begin to pass from human to human, are we prepared medically and mentally? In the beginning we heard about millions of pills being produced as a back up, but we don’t know if these actually work.
