The tale of the lost mobile phone!
Today my parents and I headed to Turville, where the famous move ‘Goodnight, Mr Tom’ was filmed. My mum mainly wanted to go to see the fields of bluebells which can be seen there and the walks are fantastically beautiful. And why did I mention my mobile phone in the title? Well let me tell you the story of how I lost my phone! :#
We parked smoothly along the side of the long, winding road which was enclosed by tall trees and stretching fields of bluebells as far as the eye can see. After the purring engine was turned off, and we got out one by one; first my father, then my mother, and finally climbing from the back to the front of the 3 door car, me. I thought to myself, as we were walking down the road to the local pub for lunch, that I swore I had my sleek, silver mobile phone deep within the pocket of my beige three-quarter length linen trousers, but it was not there. Safely assuming I had left it at home, we carried on in our day getting some lunch, an ice cream and later stopping at a Citroen garage to see what second hand Citroen C2’s they had available.
Once we arrived home, after a long hard day of play, my lovely mother noticed that she had 11 missed calls. 2 being identified as coming from my phone and the other 9 being the voice mail trying to tell my mother she had a new message. After some thinking, we came to the message which consisted of a lovely old lady from Turville stating she found my phone and was keeping it safe for me. Confusion struck me like a punch. How could my phone have come out of my pocket? And how I have not noticed it falling on the floor or seeing it on the floor when walking back to the car?
My father, being the kind and generous person he is, climbed back into our now-mud-dirty-3-door car and drove the 40 minute drive back to Turville to collect my phone. And now, the phone is now safe next to me whilst I sit on the comfortable brown leather sofa in my father’s office watching the time tick by until I have to go to bed, waiting for the week to begin.
The end.
I do not know how I would of survived without my phone! It was brand new as well. My friends are always telling me how I can never manage to keep a mobile phone either working or keep it with me for more than 6 months, this would have only proved them right.
Like the story? I thought I would make this post a bit different. ![]()
Edit: I forgot that Bubs kindly tagged me. So here it goes.
5 things I enjoy about blogging:
1. Feeling that nothing I write here will affect what people think of me in the real world. I don’t have to scared of consequences etc.
2. As Bubs said, comments. Comments make me feel special and show me that people are actually listening to what I have to say.
3. Friendships. I have made quite a few close friendships from having a blog and will never regret it.
4. Development. Writing blogs helps me grow as a person. I understand things more in my head, rather than them bouncing round in my head and not making any sense.
5. I cannot think of anything more to say, other than, I get a buzz when I blog. And I like it. ![]()
