My name is Benjamin. I come from the UK (although I was born in New Zealand) and I have been described as having a ginger personality. Whatever that means. I assume they're referring to my hair and my Ronald Weasley nature. Aside from that, I'm the only male blogger worth knowing.

You can thank Amber for that lovely introduction, but you deserve much more than just a small paragraph showing my nutty nature, therefore if you do wish to find out more, please visit the

The Ragwitch

On Saturday I bought a couple of books, one of which was ‘The Ragwitch’ by Garth Nix. I started reading it yesterday afternoon and finished it a couple of hours ago. It was great! I loved it, and as usual, Garth Nix has written another great book.
I have contemplated reading another series that he has out, but I am not sure if they are the kind of books I want to read, because I am not sure if they follow the same kind of genre that the Old Kingdom series and The Ragwitch are. I would need to look into it.

Along with The Ragwitch, I bought ‘Noughts and Crosses’ by Malorie Blackman and ‘Soul Eater’ by Michelle Paver. I am reading alot more this holiday than I have in a while. I love it.

I wish I could read alot more, it is just that books cost alot nowadays. It did help though the other day when buying my books, when I ran into an old school friend who is now working in Waterstones and offered me her 30% discount! ^.^

Other than that, I have re-launched the Portfolio website again, I changed the website and fixed some problems with the Album lists. I really like it now, and the cute 2d art in the header was made by me! Using the Pen Tool, for the first time, I was so much fun.
All I have to do now is work on my mum’s website…. I just wish she could stop nagging me.

I wish I could read more, too. My problem is that I’m a slow reader O_o

Noughts and Crosses is such an amazing book; read the rest of the series if you can because it’s definitely not a disappointment. Although the first book remains my favourite the last one is also an amazing piece of writing.

If you liked Ragwitch (which I have not yet read) then I’m sure you’ll love the series with: Sabriel, Lirael and Abhorsen in them. While Lirael takes a long time to get into (for me at least) it was great in the end.

Amber, I have already read the series with Sabriel, Lirael and Abhorsen. It is what got me to read Ragwitch. The series is one of my favourites. :P
