My name is Benjamin. I come from the UK (although I was born in New Zealand) and I have been described as having a ginger personality. Whatever that means. I assume they're referring to my hair and my Ronald Weasley nature. Aside from that, I'm the only male blogger worth knowing.

You can thank Amber for that lovely introduction, but you deserve much more than just a small paragraph showing my nutty nature, therefore if you do wish to find out more, please visit the
about page.

Plans

Ever since joining Snark Forums, I have been running across things which I would like to do to make my site more fun for myself, and feel like I have achieved something.

First of all, I am in the process of signing up to The Quilting Bee, I remember having a quilt on my first ever website, but along my many websites seemed to have lost it. I always remember the Quilting Bee a fun way to meet new interesting people, so why not join in again? To make things better, I found that Bubs has written an admin script to maintain the quilt alot easier. How nice! ^.^

I have always wanted to own a website which was X/HTML valid and CSS valid. Therefore my task is going to begin trying to get it to be valid. To help me do that I have downloaded a plugin for Firefox which automatically gives you errors or warnings about the page you are viewing. Neat huh?
Therefore once my website is valid in HTML and CSS, I am going to be submitting my website to showcases such as Perfection, Despair, CSS Based, and CSS Mania. I realise I will probably not be accepted to the later 2, but it will be interesting non-the-less.

Tomorrow, an event is taking place on the internet called CSS Naked Day, where the whole of 5th April 2007, all CSS will be removed from your website, stripping it entirely of its design. I felt this is going to be very interesting and I have installed a WordPress plugin which automatically disables my default theme stylesheet for the day, so there is no way for me to forget. So don’t be shocked if you come visit my site tomorrow, and find that it is hard to navigate through my site! :?

Hey Ben! Yay for CSS Naked Day! ^_^ I added you to my list of “naked friends”, haha! XD

Woot for Snark, I know what you mean, I’ve been finding a few interesting things to add to my site as well! I love that forum. :D

And double YAY for the Q*Bee! I’ll have to come trade patches with you after your app goes through! It’s a great club, lots of fun! ^_^ And I defintitely do recommend Bub’s script, it really rocks. :D

Ooh, I hope that addon helps you! It definitely helps me out with validation too. Good luck on submitting your site to those places! :D

Have a good Wednesday! ^_^

I’ve wanted to join the Q’bee for ages :P I should really get up off mon derrière and sign up for it XD
Validation has always been easy for me. Once I learned the mistakes I was making, I never made them again. It’s really worth it if you’re a perfectionist, because it gives you peace of mind :P
Naked day is so cool. I was playing with the “Disable CSS” feature on the Web Dev toolbar in Firefox, and it made me realise how important CSS is. Take away CSS - just a pile of text and links. Add CSS - Wow! Transformation!

Yay for the Quilting Bee ;) Hope you’ll get accepted soon - it indeed is a great “club” and I’m glad I finally joined.

I think those CSS-based showcases are really into web 2.0 designs. I applied to one or two of them once but never got accepted, so bleh.

I’m happy I joined Snark - it’s fun and I’ve met a lot of new people and interesting sites :)

I’m in the process of QB creation myself, of course the pixellation is taking me forever since I went overboard and started a pixel teahouse to house it but eventually I’ll finish and apply, lol.

Snark seems like a nice little forum. I’m happy to have found it, and to have met you. :)

I’m thinking of joining the Quilting bee, and starting up with fanlistings again, etc., etc. But I’m rather busy during the daytime, and at night I’m too tired to do much, so, we’ll see. Rome wasn’t built in a day. ;)

Good luck with getting your site up to web standards! I recently did so with mine by ditching tables and going with pure CSS, and I am so happy that I did.

Conveniently, I just wandered in here from Snark. It is a fun forum, isn’t it?

I was surprised, when I finally decided to do it, how easy it was to go valid. You should be able to do it without too many issues.

Well yes I was suprised too, and was able to validate the whole of my site in half an hour. ;)

Where did you get that plugin? ‘Cause it’s acting up with me, but I heard something about having Norton Anitivirus that messed with it, so that may be the case. Anyway, good luck on validating your site. It’s not hard at all once you get the hang of it :)

Ah yes, now I saw that you had validated your site in half an hours. Dude, you’re fast at everything! Haha ^.^
Btw, your smilies are so cute :D
