I miss my Mac.
Of course I still have my MacBook, but I am not getting to use it the way I want to. If you remember I started ranting in a previous post that my AirPort card does not work anymore.
At first I thought that I had actually broken my AirPort card, which allows me to connect to wireless networks, and after 3 hours of fiddling around with settings, passwords and almost throwing my beloved laptop out the window (like I would ever do that. ;) ), I approached the Apple Support forums and found people have a similar problem.
It turned out that it was an update which hundreds of people had installed on their Mac’s for the AirPort card, said to be only a security fix. Now nobody’s Mac can connect to the internet, except of course, for those who have an AirPort Base Station. It is almost like Apple are making sure that their user’s spend more money with them to be able to connect to the internet with their Mac.
It is creeping up to 2 months now since the update was released. 2 months! And Apple have still not come out with a fix update. On the Phone Support, they say that Apple are working on it, but cannot give a rough date or timescale for when it might be done.
Its bollocks that I spent £1200 on a mac laptop, to be able to make graphics and do web design. And I can’t really do that with no internet to upload files/edit files and check how the look in web browsers. Absolute bollocks.
