Family outings and loving friends
What family outing is complete without an argument?
On Monday, my family were supposed to go to Frimley Park for a big picnic with my extended family, and sister’s fiance’s family as a celebration to the fact that after everything we have been through concerning my Nan and my grandad’s death (yes, I realise that was 3 years ago, but alot has happened because of it). Weather being the fine thing it is, decided to pour down with rain, so we had to resort to going to our favourite pub for a couple of drinks.
As a part of my Nan’s act to cut herself out of our family, she sent all of the family photos over decades round our house to sort through as a family, so we felt this was a good opportunity to sort it out. Unfortunately, my uncle Dave (my mum’s brother) was in a big strop and was too busy playing with his new phone to realise what was going on. When we were all leaving, he told my mum “I had no idea what was going on with these photos, it was a stupid idea to do it and whoever thought of it is stupid”. My dad lost it, because as usual he managed to upset my mum, an uproar began in the pub. People eating their dinners or drinking their pints stopped what they were doing to watch. I felt we were almost kicked out, but my uncle simply walked away. Grr.. T.T
On a lighter mood. I have come to realise that I love the friends I have. I never have a dull moment with them, and they constantly remind me that I am thankful to have them. After years at secondary school of being alone at breaks and being bullied, I am left with friends who mean the world to me.
The picture on the right is a picture of me drawn by the best of them all, Kelli Moldon! Would you believe she used to love me and wanted to go out with me, but me being the gentleman I am, turned her down because I thought her nose was too big? ;)
Of course, she had to be humerous and put me in a tutu. Yes. Very funny Kelli. I took dance at GCSE, got an A in it, was the only boy. Not once did I have to put a tutu on. I was almost made to put a leotarde on, but I protested against it for obvious reasons. -shudders- The green top is because she loves me wearing green. Why? I don’t know, but she comments on it when I do.
I love Kelli, always will.
Ben says: and is the reason why you put me in a green top in that picutre because you like seeing me in green?
Kelli says: yes :)…well it was that or blue and I thought…”No Kelli, he doesn’t wear blue”
Ben says: i do on occasion
Kelli says: once in a blue moon…Get it…BLUE moon..Yeahh..It was good
Isn’t she smart? -cough-
