Could TV get any better?
Now, I am not the sort who would sit down and watch TV all day long simply because there is rarely anything interesting on except towards the end of the week in the evenings and of course, there is the fact I am always to engrossed in my computer. :P
Spring/Summer is the best time for television for me and this is why;
On the Thursday at 10pm, we have the brand new series of Grey’s Anatomy! This show isn’t like any of your other medical dramas because this show focuses more on the drama than the medical cases like Casualty or Holby City.
Next day, at 8:30pm, we have My Family. Not as funny as it used to be without Nick, but still a great show.
Straight after at 9pm, is Ugly Betty. One of my favourite shows and the fashion drama gets better every week. And guess what? Double Bill of Ugly Betty this friday. :)
On Saturday at 7:10pm, is Doctor Who . Enough said, absolute ledgendary show.
Of course, I thought “Could TV actually get any better?” It can because Big Brother starts very soon and the pre-show hype is coming. In the news this morning, it was reported that all the contestants were flown out of the UK so that not to know anything about the show in the media. I cannot wait to see what is in store for us this time, especially after the drama from the last celebrity season.
On that note, drama certainly seems to be following the Bollywood diva, Shilpa Shetty. Examples are of course the “racist bullying” from Jade Goody in Celebrity Big Brother UK, the unexpected kiss from Richard Gere, sueing an imposter “agent”.
Personally I think that she is loving it, and is playing the damsel in distress when after everything that has happened she is getting hit movies, launching perfumes in the UK. Her, like every other celebrity, uses the drama to boost her career. Saying that though, who doesn’t/would?
