My name is Benjamin. I come from the UK (although I was born in New Zealand) and I have been described as having a ginger personality. Whatever that means. I assume they're referring to my hair and my Ronald Weasley nature. Aside from that, I'm the only male blogger worth knowing.

You can thank Amber for that lovely introduction, but you deserve much more than just a small paragraph showing my nutty nature, therefore if you do wish to find out more, please visit the

Paparazzi, Snoop and Crash!

Today is going to drag on, I can just tell, but I will get onto telling you why later on in the post. I just felt that I needed to post to get my head out of the pillow.

Paparazzi! For months now, I have always wondered how Rikkye from Nuwen was able to take a screenshot of her new layout for the full length of the webpage. Out of lazyness, I took that as being taking 2 seperate screenshots and then merging the two in Photoshop… until now. I have been motivated to start work on a hard-copy portfolio with full sketches, notes and final designs and yesterday I looked into screenshotting software for mac called Paparazzi!. This software actually allows you to input any URL, your minimum pixel details and it will create a full length webpage screenshot for you! I love it.

For all of you who know (or don’t know), I use Reinvigorate to track all my visitor hits, IP’s, details and page hits. But now - I can do that all from my desktop and with a startling tone, know when a new visitor is on my website! With what? You may ask, well the other day Reinvigorate released a new desktop application called Snoop. I think it is very handy for when you are on your computer and wish to know instantly when someone posts on/visits/leaves your website, but I find it doesn’t really go into great detail as much as the reinvigorate pages do. It may not mean to, but it would be nice. Reinvigorate really makes me want to purchase Mint, but I seem to be broke at the moment.

As I said earlier, this day is going to drag on - and as I said this morning is getting worse. On the way to school this morning, in my new car, I had a car accident. A car went into me/I went into him - when I was coming off the roundabout. I now have dents and scratches all the way down my passenger door and by the quote which I am getting done now, it is going to be expensive to fix. <.<

I felt so bad when I rang up my Dad to say about the accident because I swore to myself when I got the car I would be extra careful and not have an accident because I do not want to be without a car, after what happened last time.

Details are a bit wishy wasy at the moment, but I find the driver of the other guy quite suspicious. He was foreign, didn’t want to go through insurance but just wanted to have £100 from me on the spot. A 17 year old boy on the way to school, having £100 on him? I think not. He made me think that the accident was my fault, and I thought I was because I thought I was in the inner lane when I shouldn’t have been - but since coming home and talking to my parents I had the right of way and can use the lane I was in. Grr.

5 minutes of going into school, everyone knew about it and I was being asked 100&1 questions, someone even said that they heard that my car hadn’t been seriously damaged and was written-off. I think I proved them wrong when I pulled in it. Oh well, I just hope to get it fixed and I hope I never have another accident simply because I hate the feeling it gives you.

I still have yet to be ‘invited’ to Reinvigorate. Instead I’m passing my time with watching Google Analytics. It’s quite fun but easy to become obsessed. Car crashes are actually really scary; I remember when my mum drove us into the back of a brewery lorry.

I recently discovered Paparazzi, too. It’s very handy. Have you heard of Copernicus (http://www.danicsoft.com/projects/copernicus/)? It’s another screen capture app, but it can also take movies — and it’s free.

Sorry to hear about your car. :(

Wow! I am glad that you didn’t get hurt in your accident. You should never admit guilt on the scene of an accident, just start writing down the details. What happened and who the other people there are and any witnesses.

The insurance will need all this and it will save you time and money to have it.

This is my first visit to your site and it really looks nice here. Keep up the good work.

Aww, poor car! Around 2 years ago, my car was damaged by a jeepney. The driver made it look like it was my fault because I was a new driver. Argh. My radiator and bumper fell off, that’s how hard he hit me. I even got bruises on my neck and head. because of the impact. Sheesh! :ouch:

Thanks for sharing the screenie app, however, I can’t use it since I’m on Windows. Sucks.

I want a Mac now, that’s nifty. *peers at it*
Hope the car gets fixed soon. :)
