End of an era.
For the past 10 years, Harry Potter and his dynamic duo of Ron and Hermoine, have been a major part of my life. Not only the books, but the films and my friends being extras within the latest film. And as you should know, Saturday 21st July 2007 was the end of that era with the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Ok, Ok! I know it took me a while to finish the book, but I am a very slow reader. As Amber would back me up with that - I finished about 1 hour ago having got the book on Saturday morning. I did not get a chance to read more than 100 pages on Saturday because I suddenly got struck with a case of travel sickness whilst out travelling with my parents.
That was something I was going to post about when it happened. After years of travelling back and forth from Spain, or going on long trips to Cornwall and reading non-stop in the car. The one day that I am dieing to read a book. The book which end’s an era. I get car sickness and end up throwing up by the side of the road. Maybe too much information for you, but aren’t you glad I didn’t dedicate a whole blog to it?!
This won’t be a long entry containing a review of every chapter, or reveal any spoilers, or criticize JK Rowling’s writing skills, but just to say. I don’t think I can let go of Harry Potter. ;(
I choose to not accept that there will not be an 8th book. I mentioned this to Amber and she commented that after reading the Epilogue, she is not sure she wants it to continue.
So this is the plan.
Cast obliviate! on all the readers around the world so they forget the Epilogue, and then imperio JK Rowling, and force her to right an 8th Book, creating a story line which will last another 6 or 7 books. Sounds like a plan? So every wizard and witch, house-elf or goblin. Grab your wands and get casting. I shall be at the Room of Requirement hatching a plan on how to reach JK Rowling and I will contact you with further details using our fake Galleons, a way in Dumbledore’s Army was able to communicate!
Over and out.
Ben
