Frustration with Apple
As fellow geeks should know, Apple Leopard Mac OS X was launched on 26th October, and after being paid last Friday I quickly ordered a single version. I was so excited, and as said on Snark, am now quite disappointed. Not with Leopard, no, because I haven’t even been able to install it yet.
My MacBook keeps rejecting the DVD, and since putting it in, my Macbook rejects all DVD’s, but plays CD’s fine. I have tried all the solutions I could find on Apple.com and even spent 30 minutes on the Apple Support phoneline to be told that there is nothing I can do except take it into an Apple store to be looked at and if required fixed. Problem: The nearest apple store is an hour away! Me being a full time student, I really cannot see when I will have time to go into London and get it seen. :/
I cannot really complain. My laptop is over a year old now and this is the first problem I have had with it (bar the wireless internet problem which was fixed by a quick software update). This is also the first laptop which I have owned and it has survived longer than 6 months, and I still love it more than any of my possessions. Well, maybe not including my car, but that is something completely different.
Talking about my car, just 12 more days until I am 18 and can finally afford car insurance again. Yay! :D
